Children will listen to stories, sing songs, play with puppets, puzzles and board books. Kids make a craft to take home and enjoy. Caregivers attend story time with children. Siblings welcome!

Teens ages 12-17 will mentor beginning readers in 1st and 2nd grade by reading to and with them. The program provides the opportunity for begining readers to practice their reading skills in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. It also gives the teens an opportunity to work with kids and earn needed community service hours.There will be a time  for the coloring and puzzles as well.

Registration is required. Registration begins Monday March 5, 2018.

Organizing for Teens

Organizing in RI presents a program for students in middle and high school on how to organize.

For students that stay for the whole program we will have a random prize drawing for  Dunkin Donut gift cards and other random prizes.

Native Wildlife

Jane Dening talks with families about and show pictures of  native wildlife in the area. 

This program does not necessarily include a live animal.

Great for ages 4 and up with adult.

Children must be with an adult at all times for safety. 

Free tickets available April 9th so that we do not exceed room capacity.

Native American Culture

Great for all ages.

Kristen Webb talks about Native American Culture and brings a lot of items families can see and touch.

Cupcake Decorating

Great for ages 8  and up.

We provide the cupcakes and the decorations.

Registration is required so we have enough for all participants.

There are no nuts in this program however some items may be manufactured in a place that processes other foods.

Please let us know if your child has a food allergy upon sign up. 

There is no eating of the cupcakes in the library. They must be taken home for eating.


Animal Experiences

Dave Marchetti of Animal Experiences will bring a variety of animals.

Great for all ages.

Indian Henna for Teens

This program is a workshop for teens in middle or high school!

Students who sign up for this program will be randomly chosen to  participate as henna students guided by experts in design making and use of the cones to make henna. Students who are not chosen but remain for the program may watch the students learn henna and will be notified when the next henna program is scheduled.

Wii Games Teens

Pretzel Log Cabin

Pretzel Log Cabin great for ages 8 and up.

Build a log cabin with pretzels, wheat thins and other edible items. 

Use decorating frosting to make the pretzels stick.


There are no nuts in the program, however, some items may be make in a factory that also processes other foods such as peanuts

Please let us know upon sign up if  your child has a food allergy. 

Note for germ prevention there is no eating in this program. We just use the food to decorate. Much like you would a gingerbread house.
