Writer’s Workshop
Feb 13 @ 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Writer’s Workshop held in the Woonsocket Room to network, help cultivate writers and offer research skills for those interested in writing. Open to high school students and adults. Must contact the group leader first to reserve a spot in the workshop, call John Peacock at 401-332-8323. Workshop will be held twice a month in September, October and November.

Introduction to Marine Animals
Feb 19 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The Biomes Marine Biology Center will present an Introduction to Marine Animals. The program  will give children a close up look at some marine animals such as a Sea Star, Horse Shoe Crab  and Spider Crab This will be an interactive presentation that will show the animals and talk about how they move and eat. The program will end with a puffer fish  demonstration.

This program is appropriate for children 3&1/2 &up with an adult caregiver.  Tickets  will be available at the Children’s desk one week prior to the show.(Tuesday 2/12/19) Space is limited. You may call the Children’s room at 769-9044 Ext. 2.

Dog Man: The Book Discussion

During School Vacation Week

If you have read Dog Man and are in grades 3-5 join us for a fun filled book discussion. We will play games like“Who Am I” and Pictionary after discussing our favorite characters and situations. Juice boxes and snacks provided.

Description:Children ages 3- 10 years with an adult caregiver are invited to the Children’s craft table anytime between 1-3pm to make a piggy bank out of a toilet paper tube  to take home.

Coding Robots with Dash and Dot

Great for ages 7 & up. Mrs. Phillips will bring her Robots Dash and Dot for students to learn fun coding programs. Students use a computer tablet to move the robots through mazes the students create. Great for beginners as well as those who have used Dash and Dot before.
