May 2 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Autism Project Training for Parents presented in English

English
Creating the Connections engages participants in the stages of a child’s development, so they can recognize and act upon atypical development when they observe it. The goal of this session is to increase access to resources that promote screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and enrollment in appropriate services for children at risk of developmental disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participants will also get a better understanding of the power and benefit of using visual supports to provide structure in day-to-day activities.

Girls Who Code Grades 3-5
May 6 @ 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm

Each meeting we will talk about computers and coding and will include fun interactive activities. A typical meeting starts with girls reading and listening together from a part of the book. Then, they discuss question that relate to both the book and important concepts, like bravery, resilience, computational thinking and sisterhood. Activities will be done both offline with paper and markers and online using programs like Scratch.
