Kids 6-10 hunt for “fossils” in our paleontology box then choose a fossil and make an impression of their object onto air dry clay to take home and enjoy.

Steve Emma will   present a power point presentation on Fossils. There will be fossils for participants to take home. For ages 18 &up.

Using iPads, participants will be able to take pictures of clouds (weather permitting) and then come inside and match the types of clouds they see to our STARNet Cloud Activity Cards. Then use the photo editor on the iPad to outline your cloud or make drawings or faces of your cloud. Your image will be printed or emailed to you the following week, as the program ends at 4:45 and the library closes at 5pm on Fridays. Sign up is requested as iPads are limited in number. Normand Peloquin of Celestial Offerings will talk about the science and art of beekeeping. This program is for adults and teens. We have another program for kids and bees with Normand on Thursday Sept 13th 6-7pm. Have you always wanted to be a beekeeper? What do beginners need to know. Already and expert? NOAA/National Weather Service Senior Meteorologist Hayden Frank, serving the Norton, MA Office, Will be here to talk about the National Weather Service’s core mission – the protection of life and property – and inform us about the various weather hazards that impact southern New England.
