Autism Project Training for Parents presented in English English Creating the Connections engages participants in the stages of a child’s development, so they can recognize and act upon atypical development when they observe it. The goal of this session is to increase access to resources that promote screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and enrollment in appropriate services for children at risk of developmental disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participants will also get a better understanding of the power and benefit of using visual supports to provide structure in day-to-day activities. Linda Brunetti 401-667-6045

Children ages 18 months – 2 years old with an adult caregiver are invited to come listen to stories, sing songs and finger plays. There will be  time for puzzles or puppets. Registration begins Monday 4/1/19. Please call 769-9044. Walk ins are welcome if there is space available.

Thursday May 9, 2019 6-7pm   Mr. Dennis Skehan will present a fun vocabulary word game where kids can use letters to build new words, using all the letters of the alphabet. Parents are invited to play too.   Suggested for grades  4 & up.   Light snacks will be provided.   Registration is recommended call the children’s room at 769-9044 x2

On Monday, May 20, the Museum of Work and Culture and the Woonsocket Harris Public Library invite families to discover the tough choices French Canadians faced in making the decision to immigrate to the United States, with the Decision to Leave, an immersive education program for students of all ages. Thursday May 30th 5-7pm Kids get FREE Books, Snacks and Activities!!!  Come join the fun. Snacks & activities will be provided by the Rotary Club of  Woonsocket. Books will be provided by Books Are Wings. While you are waiting for your turn at the free book table, Visit our craft table and make something to take home. Books and activities are suitable for families with children ages 4 and up Children under 12 must be with an adult caregiver at all times.
