The Biomes Marine Biology Center will present an Introduction to Marine Animals. The program  will give children a close up look at some marine animals such as a Sea Star, Horse Shoe Crab  and Spider Crab This will be an interactive presentation that will show the animals and talk about how they move and eat. The program will end with a puffer fish  demonstration. This program is appropriate for children 3&1/2 &up with an adult caregiver.  Tickets  will be available at the Children’s desk one week prior to the show.(Tuesday 2/12/19) Space is limited. You may call the Children’s room at 769-9044 Ext. 2.

Kimberly Banaczuk, owner of Miss Kim’s Handmade Soap & Body Care, will be presenting a bath bomb making class. All materials will be supplied, one bath bomb per person. Participants will learn how the combination of ingredients like citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, essential oil, micas, & organic bubble compound can produce a soothing bathtub treat. Located in the children’s program room Saturdays 1-2pm January 26 February 23 March 23 April 20 May 18 Bring your imagination to the library and build Lego creations with new friends. Completed Lego creations may be displayed in our display case in the children’s room. An adult must be with the child at all times in the program room for safety. Great for ages 5 & up.

Saturday February 23rd  2-3 &  3-4pm 2 classes exactly the same back to back each may have 10 participants each. Great for ages 5 & up with adult caregiver. Teen volunteers help younger students create a volcano. We supply the playdough, plastic dinos and trees, and you make it erupt with baking soda, vinegar and food coloring. Students may take their creation home!
