Evening Program for children and families
Thursday October 25th 6-6:45pm
Michelle Skorupski and her 2 bunnies will be here for a 45 minute informational program on rabbit care. Children will hear a rabbit-related story then be introduced to how to care for a rabbit and what is required to have a pet rabbit. Michelle will bring her 2 bunnies for children to see and pet after the program. Program is great for ages 6-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver in the room at all times.

Registration is suggested. Please call 769-9044 x2 or stop by in person. Those that register will get a reminder call and notified of cancellation in the event of sickness or bad weather. Cancellations will also be posted on our facebook page.
Have you been hearing the word Mindfulness and wondering what the buzz is all about? Have you wondered if it is the same as meditation? Do you already have a meditation practice?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are invited to come and learn more about this topic in a 3 hour session. All levels of practice are welcome.
Class is limited to the first 18 registered participants. Class is for adults ages 18 yrs & up.

The class runs from 9 AM-12:00 PM with 2 breaks in between. Margaret will contact you to confirm sign-up.

As part of the Woonsocket Education Departments “Be Here” Campaign, the Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patrick McGee will be at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library November 7, 2018 at 6:15-7:15pm
to talk about the importance of children attending school every day.
Chronic absenteeism has reached an all-time high in our schools. According to Dr. McGee, “In order for any student to be successful in school, they have to be in school.” The success of every child’s education is “Recognizing the importance of children being in school and being with their classmates and teachers.”
Dr. McGee will be at the library to talk with families about this important issue. He will speak about how the education department is working on this important issue and what families can do at home to support “Be Here.”
Parents bring your children to this event!
Free children’s books will be available to all who attend this program. There will also be a coloring craft and activity for children to entertain children who come with their parents.
Light Refreshments including party pizza and water and other snacks will be served.
