Upcoming Children’s Events

Aside from our vast catalog of books and media, the Woonsocket Harris Public Library is an eventful place filled with opportunities to meet like-minded people or introduce yourself to new interests. We have a constantly updated list of events for children, teens, and adults that vary in topic and style, ensuring that everyone can find a great fit and attend a fun and fulfilling event or group meeting.

Saturday November 3rd 2-4pm Sponsored by Lowe’s Come and paint a wooden plane. We supply the planes and the paints. You supply the imagination. Smocks will be available to protect clothing. We will have latex and powder free gloves as well. Registration is suggested as we only have 10 planes. Don’t worry though we have other items to paint if we run out. Call 769-9044 x2. As part of the Woonsocket Education Departments “Be Here” Campaign, the Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patrick McGee will be at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library November 7, 2018 at 6:15-7:15pm to talk about the importance of children attending school every day. Chronic absenteeism has reached an all-time high in our schools. Located in the children’s program room the third Saturday of each month 1-2pm October 20 November 17 December 15 Bring your imagination. We supply the Legos! We will put your creation on display until the next Lego Club meets. As these are the smaller Legos, an adult must be with the child in the room at all times for safety.

In order to cater to a broad audience and include interests for everyone We offer a multitude of programs, events, and regularly recurring classes for children in the toddler & pre-k age range. Programs include story time, music, puzzle time and more.

Sensory Programs

Our sensory exploration programs can be enjoyed by children of all ages, abilities, and sensibilities with their adult caregiver.
