Upcoming Children’s Events

Aside from our vast catalog of books and media, the Woonsocket Harris Public Library is an eventful place filled with opportunities to meet like-minded people or introduce yourself to new interests. We have a constantly updated list of events for children, teens, and adults that vary in topic and style, ensuring that everyone can find a great fit and attend a fun and fulfilling event or group meeting.

Registration is required for this program and begins October 15th call 769-9044 x2  or stop by in person to register Presented by Community Care Alliance Early Intervention This 7 week series introduces children to songs stories and activities appropriate for ages 2-3.5 years. Some programs may include food like applesauce so please let us know if your child has any food allergies. Space is limited in this program.

Children ages 3 & up with an adult caregiver are welcome to come to the Children’s program room between 10:30 – 11:30 am to make a holiday craft to take home. This activity may be messy so have your child wear something appropriate for that. Aprons will also be provided. This is a drop in craft so there is no registration required. Located in the children’s program room the third Saturday of each month 1-2pm October 20 November 17 December 15 Bring your imagination. We supply the Legos! We will put your creation on display until the next Lego Club meets. As these are the smaller Legos, an adult must be with the child in the room at all times for safety.

Saturday December 15th 2-4pm One or more of these crafts will be available to make and take home. Crafts may be messy please wear clothes that can get glue or paint on them. We do have aprons and latex free gloves available Great for ages 5 & up with adult caregiver. Those that register by calling 769-9044 x2 will get reminder calls and be notified of any cancellation. Cancellations will also be posted on our facebook page. Great for ages 6 & under with adult caregiver in the room. Walk-ins are welcome as long as there is space in the room.

Toddler & Pre-K

In order to cater to a broad audience and include interests for everyone We offer a multitude of programs, events, and regularly recurring classes for children in the toddler & pre-k age range. Programs include story time, music, puzzle time and more.

Sensory Programs

Our sensory exploration programs can be enjoyed by children of all ages, abilities, and sensibilities with their adult caregiver. Listen to stories, sing a song, tell a felt board story, and visit our sensory tables for interactive play. Walk-ins are welcome so long as there is comfortable space in the room for all.
