Upcoming Children’s Events

Aside from our vast catalog of books and media, the Woonsocket Harris Public Library is an eventful place filled with opportunities to meet like-minded people or introduce yourself to new interests. We have a constantly updated list of events for children, teens, and adults that vary in topic and style, ensuring that everyone can find a great fit and attend a fun and fulfilling event or group meeting.

Toddler & Pre-K

In order to cater to a broad audience and include interests for everyone, we offer a multitude of programs, events, and regularly recurring classes for children in the toddler & pre-k age range. Programs include story time, music, play-dough time and more.

Autism Project

Tunes & Tales
for Tots

For 2021, takes place every other Friday at 11am on September 24, October 8 & October 22.

A program just for the toddlers.

Includes songs, fingerplays, movement activities and rhythm instrument play.

Most pre-school and Kindergarten programs are 45 minutes.

Drop-in themed paper crafts are usually set up in the pre-school play area.

Sensory Programs

Our sensory exploration programs can be enjoyed by children of all ages, abilities, and sensibilities with their adult caregiver. Listen to stories, sing a song, tell a felt board story, and visit our sensory tables for interactive play. Walk-ins are welcome so long as there is comfortable space in the room for all.
