Our Upcoming Events

Aside from our vast catalog of books and media, the Woonsocket Harris Public Library is an eventful place filled with opportunities to meet like-minded people or introduce yourself to new interests. We have a constantly updated list of events for children, teens, and adults that vary in topic and style, ensuring that everyone can find a great fit and attend a fun and fulfilling event or group meeting.

Have you been hearing the word Mindfulness and wondering what the buzz is all about? Have you wondered if it is the same as meditation? Do you already have a meditation practice? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are invited to come and learn more about this topic in a 3 hour session.  All levels of practice are welcome. Saturday November 3rd 2-4pm Sponsored by Lowe’s Come and paint a wooden plane. We supply the planes and the paints. You supply the imagination. Smocks will be available to protect clothing. Live & Learn is a social program for people with early memory loss offering new ways to compensate for memory changes. As part of the Woonsocket Education Departments “Be Here” Campaign, the Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patrick McGee will be at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library November 7, 2018 at 6:15-7:15pm to talk about the importance of children attending school every day. Chronic absenteeism has reached an all-time high in our schools.
