Writer’s Workshop held in the Woonsocket Room to network, help cultivate writers and offer research skills for those interested in writing. Open to high school students and adults. Must contact the group leader first to reserve a spot in the workshop, call John Peacock at 401-332-8323. Workshop will be held twice a month in September, October and November.
Drop-in session to learn more about the Circle of Security Workshop. In this workshop series, parents and caregivers will be guided on how to: understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the child’s emotional needs, support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions, enhance the development of your child’s self esteem, honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure. Lifespan Community Health Institute will be offering a free flu vaccination clinic at the Library on Saturday, November 9th from 10am – 12 pm. Eligibility requirements to receive the flu vaccination are: must be 19 years or older and a Rhode Island resident, or a non-resident who is employed in R.I. and receives health insurance through a R.I. employer. Please bring your insurance card. The vaccine will be provided for free regardless of whether the recipient is insured or uninsured. Appropriate for children ages 4- 10 with an adult caregiver. Children will dig for dinosaurs in a variety of sensory bins filled with rice, beans and kinetic sand. They will also be able to make a dinosaur fossil out of salt dough to take home.
