Live and Learn
Nov 6 @ 9:30 am – 11:30 am

Open to caregivers and those experiencing memory loss.  Meets in the main program room when the library is open. Live & Learn is a social program for people with early memory loss offering new ways to compensate for memory changes. Contact Alz.org/ri at 1-800-272-3900 or email Margaret “Annie” Murphy at mmurphy@alz.org.  Group meets at Patriots Dinner, 65 Founders Dr, Woonsocket, RI on the last Wednesday of the month.

Writer’s Workshop
Nov 6 @ 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Writer’s Workshop held in the Woonsocket Room to network, help cultivate writers and offer research skills for those interested in writing. Open to high school students and adults. Must contact the group leader first to reserve a spot in the workshop, call John Peacock at 401-332-8323. Workshop will be held twice a month in September, October and November.

Adult Yoga Classes
Nov 6 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

6 weeks for adults 18+ taught by a certified instructor. 6:30-7:30 pm om Wednesdays, Oct.2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & Nov. 6. Signup begins Sept. 23rd with Margaret, call 401-767-4126. Leave name and number and you will receive a call back to confirm your spot.
Health waiver to be signed at first class. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. Beginner level, practice breathing and stretching techniques that you can practice at home to increase health and reduce stress.

Musical Storytime

Community Care Alliance presents Musical Storytime

A music and story program for ages 2-3.5 with one adult caregiver. Program is free and open to Woonsocket Residents. This 8 week series includes songs, stories, and craft.

 

Some programs may involve food please let us know when signing up if you or your child has a food allergy.

Intro to Circle of Security
Nov 7 @ 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Drop-in session to learn more about the Circle of Security Workshop. In this workshop series, parents and caregivers will be guided on how to: understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the child’s emotional needs, support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions, enhance the development of your child’s self esteem, honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure.
