Drop-in session to learn more about the Circle of Security Workshop. In this workshop series, parents and caregivers will be guided on how to: understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the child’s emotional needs, support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions, enhance the development of your child’s self esteem, honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure. Appropriate for children ages 4- 10 with an adult caregiver. Children will dig for dinosaurs in a variety of sensory bins filled with rice, beans and kinetic sand. They will also be able to make a dinosaur fossil out of salt dough to take home.
Located in the children’s program room on selected Saturdays.
Bring your imagination. We supply the Legos! We will put your creation on display until the next Lego Club meets.
As these are the smaller Legos, an adult must be with the child in the room at all times for safety.
Writer’s Workshop held in the Woonsocket Room to network, help cultivate writers and offer research skills for those interested in writing. Open to high school students and adults. Must contact the group leader first to reserve a spot in the workshop, call John Peacock at 401-332-8323. Workshop will be held twice a month in September, October and November.
Children ages 3 & up with an adult caregiver will make a snowman or reindeer decoration to take home with them. This will take place at the craft table in the Children’s play area. This is a drop in event while supplies last. No need to register in advance.
