Join our STEAM volunteer to look into the tiny world of plant microbes, animal insides, insects, pollen & spores and even textile fibers. We have 30 prepared slides to choose from.
Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet is a traveling exhibition for libraries. Explore Earth is part of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR_Net) led by the National Center for Interactive learning at the Space Science Institute. Exhibit partners include the American Library Association, The Lunar and Planetary Institute, and Afterschool Alliance. Explore earth is supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Learn techniques for making scars, bruises, and Halloween Zombie make up tips and more. Fake blood and face paint will be available for you to experiment with at the library. Some products may contain latex. Sign up by calling 769-9044 x3 or email efuqua@woonsocketlibrary.org. There will be snacks and Halloween cookie decorating as part of the program. Let us know if you have any food or latex allergies upon signing up. Open to students in Middle and High School only!

This 7 week series introduces children to songs stories and activities appropriate for ages 2-3.5 years.
Some programs may include food like applesauce so please let us know if your child has any food allergies.

Evening Program for children and families
Thursday October 25th 6-6:45pm
Michelle Skorupski and her 2 bunnies will be here for a 45 minute informational program on rabbit care. Children will hear a rabbit-related story then be introduced to how to care for a rabbit and what is required to have a pet rabbit. Michelle will bring her 2 bunnies for children to see and pet after the program. Program is great for ages 6-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver in the room at all times.

Registration is suggested. Please call 769-9044 x2 or stop by in person. Those that register will get a reminder call and notified of cancellation in the event of sickness or bad weather. Cancellations will also be posted on our facebook page.
Children ages 3& up with an adult caregiver will decorate a foam pumpkin shape to take home and enjoy. This is a drop in event that will be held in the Children’s room from 2-3pm.
