The Library is hosting an 8-week parenting/caregiver workshop on Friday mornings in the Woonsocket Room from 9:15am-11am starting on November 1st. Open to caregivers and those experiencing memory loss.  Meets in the main program room when the library is open. Live & Learn is a social program for people with early memory loss offering new ways to compensate for memory changes. Writer’s Workshop held in the Woonsocket Room to network, help cultivate writers and offer research skills for those interested in writing. Open to high school students and adults. Must contact the group leader first to reserve a spot in the workshop, call John Peacock at 401-332-8323. Workshop will be held twice a month in September, October and November.

6 weeks for adults 18+ taught by a certified instructor. 6:30-7:30 pm om Wednesdays, Oct.2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & Nov. 6. Signup begins Sept. 23rd with Margaret, call 401-767-4126. Leave name and number and you will receive a call back to confirm your spot. Health waiver to be signed at first class. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. Beginner level, practice breathing and stretching techniques that you can practice at home to increase health and reduce stress.

Lifespan Community Health Institute will be offering a free flu vaccination clinic at the Library on Saturday, November 9th from 10am – 12 pm. Eligibility requirements to receive the flu vaccination are: must be 19 years or older and a Rhode Island resident, or a non-resident who is employed in R.I. and receives health insurance through a R.I. employer. Please bring your insurance card. The vaccine will be provided for free regardless of whether the recipient is insured or uninsured.
