Live & Learn is a social program for people with early memory loss offering new ways to compensate for memory changes. Saturday April 6, 2019 FREE Tickets will be available Monday April 1st Tickets are given out so we do not exceed room capacity. Balloons, face painting, tossing games, crafts and more! Ages 6 & under 1-2pm Ages 7-12 2:30-3:30pm If you have a child in both age groups do not worry speak with the librarian at the desk. Teens 13-17 please see the librarian for a volunteer form as we do give 4 community service hours for volunteering for this program. Sponsored by the Friends of the Woonsocket Harris Public Library

Each meeting we will talk about computers and coding and will include fun interactive activities. A typical meeting starts with girls reading and listening together from a part of the book. Then, they discuss question that relate to both the book and important concepts, like bravery, resilience, computational thinking and sisterhood. The Club will then take on a creative challenge that relates to the chapter they read – either unplugged or online. Activities will be done both offline with paper and markers and online using programs like Scratch. Classes are held in the Studio Rhode Room of the Woonsocket Harris Library[...]

Story Time for ages 2-5 years with adult caregiver. April 10, 17, 24 April 17th takes place during school vacation week! May 1, 8, 15, 22, Wednesdays 10-:30-11:30am Children listen to stories, sing songs, play with puppets, puzzles and board books. Kids make a craft to take home and enjoy. Caregivers attend story time with children. Siblings welcome! Registration begins Monday April 1st Call 769-9044 ext 2 to register.

Great for ages 7 & up. Mrs. Phillips will bring her Robots Dash and Dot for students to learn fun coding programs. Students use a computer tablet to move the robots through mazes the students create. Great for beginners as well as those who have used Dash and Dot before.

We supply the chocolate melts in a variety of colors and Oreo’s in a variety of flavors. Take a cake pop stick and attach it to the Oreo of your choice and dip it in chocolate.  Then choose from a variety of sprinkles to make your Oreo Pop decorative. Although there are no nut products in this program it is possible that some of the decorations or chocolate melts may be processed in a factory that also produces nuts.
