“Gait Way to Better Balance” – Free Balance Screening

Come to the Woonsocket Harris Library on Saturday, April 13 for a free balance screening! The library is partnering with the URI Department of Physical Therapy (DPT), the Community Health Network (CHN), and Carelink for this opportunity.

During your screening, a licensed rehabilitation therapist or a URI physical therapist Ph.D. student will administer a series of clinical physical tests, and provide recommendations on how to improve balance and reduce falls. All ages welcome – individuals who use a walker, cane or other assisted device also welcome! Total assessments take approximately 30 minutes.
