3-4:30 Spring Storytellers

Open to teens in middle and high school. This program offered at the library by Community Care Alliance teaches teens basic theater and improv acting. They come up with ideas for skits and act them out at the library. Snacks are provided.   Program usually meets in the large program room next to the restrooms. Occasionally the program may be found in the children’s room ask at the desk if you are unsure.

3-4:30pm Teen Time

Open to students in Middle School and High School this free ongoing event takes place every Friday and is a program in which teens can hangout with other teens, play games, and have snacks.  The teen librarian Ed is in the room at all times and make sure the electronic games and table top games are enjoyed by all participants who wish to play.  Walk-ins welcome so long as there is space in the room for more details call 401-769-9044 x3 or email teens@woonsocketlibrary.org Should there be a cancellation due to weather or other events it will be posted on Facebook. 2-4 PM Strategy Game Saturday

Tired of streaming the same stale content at home? Come learn a new hobby at the library. We’ll be hosting beginner sessions for learning how to play various card games. This new adult program will be offered beginning March 14th, and continuing April 25th, May 9th, and June 6th in the large program room from 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be provided. 10-12pm Linda Brunetti Autism Project Table

Every Monday Linda Brunetti from The Autism Project is here at a table in the children’s room preschool area to talk with parents about services Autism Project provides. Feel free to stop at the table and say hello. During her visit we will open the children’s program room for a sensory exploration play where parents and kids can play with toys that develop fine and gross motor skills. Toys are geared to the preschool age.

Enjoyable for preschoolers of all abilities and sensibilities. We put out puzzles and toys for developing fine motor skills and creativity.  During this program Linda Brunetti from the Autism Project will be available in the children’s room at a table if you have any questions about the services Autism Project and other great agency and library resources and programs throughout Rhode Island.

3-4:30 Teen Role Playing Game

Before coming to the library, check in with Teen Services librarian Ed Fuqua to make sure there is space in the room. The game continues over weeks and there maybe times it is not easy for a new comer to join in also.   Usually takes place in the large program room next to the bathrooms but on occasion may be located in theh children’s program room. Ask at the desk if you are unsure.

11:30-12:15p Preschool Music with Anne Marie

Selected Wednesdays. Alternates with other music performers like Mr. Guitar Man and Music with Ms. Linda 11:30-12:15   It’s Time for Tunes-N-Tales, Everybody Say Hello Tunes & Tales for Tots will have you singing songs and making music with Anne-Marie Forer. This program for children includes finger-plays, movement activities and rhythm instrument play. Tap your toes, and clap your hands, it is time for Tunes-N-Tales. Great for preschoolers ages 2-5 and their adult. Walk-ins are welcome though registration is suggested. Call 401-769-9044 x2 or
