2:15-3:30PM Adult Halloween Craft
Join us for an adult Halloween themed craft. This craft is paint/decorate your own LED candle. We have the LED candles and paint for you to design your own Halloween candle. There will be some examples for you to get inspiration from. Space is limited to 20. Please call the reference desk at 401-767-4124 to sign up.
3-4:30 Spring Storytellers
Open to teens in middle and high school. This program offered at the library by Community Care Alliance teaches teens basic theater and improv acting. They come up with ideas for skits and act them out at the library. Snacks are provided. Program usually meets in the large program room next to the restrooms. Occasionally the program may be found in the children’s room ask at the desk if you are unsure.
3-4:30pm Teen Time
Open to students in Middle School and High School this free ongoing event takes place every Friday and is a program in which teens can hangout with other teens, play games, and have snacks. The teen librarian Ed is in the room at all times and make sure the electronic games and table top games are enjoyed by all participants who wish to play. Adult D&D with Ed
This program is 18+ (We have another D&D for middle school and high school students that meets Tuesday after school. Call the number below to inquire about that program.) 10-12pm Linda Brunetti Autism Project Table
Every Monday Linda Brunetti from The Autism Project is here at a table in the children’s room preschool area to talk with parents about services Autism Project provides. Feel free to stop at the table and say hello. During her visit we will open the children’s program room for a sensory exploration play where parents and kids can play with toys that develop fine and gross motor skills. Toys are geared to the preschool age.
2-4 PM Tech Tuesdays
Fall is here and the weather has finally cooled down. Our Reference Librarian is eager to share his tech knowledge to enhance your recreational and educational needs. Come to the Woonsocket Harris Public Library, where we can show you how to get the most out of your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Our 1 on 1 sessions will show you how to take advantage of the library’s free apps to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from the comfort of your home. 3-4:30 Teen Role Playing Game
Before coming to the library, check in with Teen Services librarian Ed Fuqua to make sure there is space in the room. The game continues over weeks and there maybe times it is not easy for a new comer to join in also. Usually takes place in the large program room next to the bathrooms but on occasion may be located in theh children’s program room. Ask at the desk if you are unsure.
11:30am-12:15pm Preschool Music with Anne Marie Forer
It’s Time for Tunes-N-Tales, Everybody say Hello! Join us every other Wednesday from 11:30-12:15 (dates listed in flyer) for music fun with Anne Marie Forer. Tunes & Tales for Tots will have you singing songs and making music with Anne-Marie Forer. This program for children includes finger-plays, movement activities and rhythm instrument play. Tap your toes, and clap your hands, it is time for Tunes-N-Tales. Great for preschoolers ages 2-5 and their adult caregiver. 4pm Halloween Party Treats
Wednesday October 20th 4-4:45pm Halloween party treats to be determined. Join Maggie from the YouTube channel The Lazy Girl’s Kitchen who will be here at the library to show kids ages 8 and up how to decorate a treat for Halloween Great for ages 8 & up with adults. We will make these treats as part of the program. People with chocolate allergies take note. No nuts associated with this program though it is possible an ingredient may be manufactured in a plant that produces nuts, like vanilla cookies. Registration by phone is requested. 401-769-9044 x2

Join us for our pick your own book Book Club. Bring along any book that you enjoyed and would recommend. It’s a great way to find out about books that might be your next great read.
