3-4:30pm Teen Time

Open to students in Middle School and High School this free ongoing event takes place every Friday and is a program in which teens can hangout with other teens, play games, and have snacks.  The teen librarian Ed is in the room at all times and make sure the electronic games and table top games are enjoyed by all participants who wish to play.  Walk-ins welcome so long as there is space in the room for more details call 401-769-9044 x3 or email teens@woonsocketlibrary.org Should there be a cancellation due to weather or other events it will be posted on Facebook. 3-4:30 Teen Role Playing Game

Before coming to the library, check in with Teen Services librarian Ed Fuqua to make sure there is space in the room. The game continues over weeks and there maybe times it is not easy for a new comer to join in also.   Usually takes place in the large program room next to the bathrooms but on occasion may be located in theh children’s program room. Ask at the desk if you are unsure.

3p Healthy Teens

In this 6 week series, teenagers 13-18. During the 6 weeks students will learn introductory cooking skills alsong with health and nutrition basics. Students will receive recipes and a gift for attending the class. Teens will also receive community service because this is the last class of the day and we will need clean up helpers.

3-4:30 Spring Storytellers

Open to teens in middle and high school. This program offered at the library by Community Care Alliance teaches teens basic theater and improv acting. They come up with ideas for skits and act them out at the library. Snacks are provided.   Program usually meets in the large program room next to the restrooms. Occasionally the program may be found in the children’s room ask at the desk if you are unsure.

4pm Henna workshop with Pinky

Middle School and High School Students may sign up for this program with Pinky. All students will learn to draw henna style on paper first. Eight henna cones will be available for students to use. Eight students who wish to learn henna techniques will be randomly selected from those that show up to participate. Learn how henna is applied and in which festivals and traditions it is commonly used. Others will watch the process and be the first to be notified for the next class.
