4pm Henna workshop with Pinky
Middle School and High School Students may sign up for this program with Pinky. All students will learn to draw henna style on paper first. Eight henna cones will be available for students to use. Eight students who wish to learn henna techniques will be randomly selected from those that show up to participate. Learn how henna is applied and in which festivals and traditions it is commonly used. Others will watch the process and be the first to be notified for the next class.
Students should wear an old shirt and short sleeves as the henna can stain clothing. Registration is suggested. Walk-ins may come so long as there is space in the room.
The statewide Rhode Island Summer Reading Program is brought to you by the RI Office of Library and Information Services, with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in collaboration with the RI Center for the Book and iRead reading program.
